St. Spyridon in Peritheia is located on the north side of Corfu island, right between the villages Kassiopi and Acharavi. Named after St Spiridon, the patron saint of Corfu, it contains two main beaches and a small cove nearby, with the main St. Spiridon beach, being the most popular one, a long golden sandy beach close to the small medieval chapel dedicated to St. Spyridon.
St. Spyridon beach is a long and deep strip of golden sand which shelves gently into the sea. With three tavernas and a beach bar at St. Spiridon the lacoation is very popular to families and couples and makes an ideal scenery to anyone who wants to see something different in Corfu island.
St. Spyridon beach has plenty of sunbeds for hire, showers and changing room facilities which along with the tavernas, offer a great chance for anyone to relax and enjoy a wonderful scenery and unforgettable swimming and sunbathing sessions.
Of course the active ones, may enjoy watersports that are available at the beach, or hire pedaloes and canoes for a sea stroll around. The beach at St. Spiridon is fairly exposed but there are trees just above that keep a natural sense of shade to protect you and your family from the sun.
